Vendor Spotlight: B Floral and Design

I have had the pleasure of working with Shelly from B. Floral and Event Design several times and over the years have fallen in love with her design sense and style. From small intimate weddings to large grand affairs she has the eye to detail that every bride is looking for in their florist. She carefully takes the time to design and craft the right arrangements and additions to the day to make sure that every part of the design runs together smoothly. I wanted to share some beauties of her work in hopes that others will fall in love with her too! Enjoy!

tulips for spring

Although the weather has not changed yet to sunny spring skies, the tulips in my yard are starting to peek out and I can not wait to see spring come full force. Tulips are a beautiful option to add into centerpieces, bouquets, and over all decor. Enjoy and be inspired!

Vendor Spotlight: Petal’s Edge Floral

Gerry and Rebecca of Petal’s Edge are two of my favorite floral designers in the area. D.C is very lucky to have so many talented vendors in the area, and Petal’s Edge is a great starting point if you are looking to design your event or wedding. They both have over 10 years experience which allows them to constantly curate new ideas and bring a fresh perspective when designing an event. I love the unique look and texture of this under used bloom. They hold to their shape and are great for any time of arrangement from centerpieces to pew decor. Look to Navy and Green, Lime and Yellow, and Green, White, and Black as great color options when using these florals.

Super Awesome Alternative Bouquets

After being inspired by a very special client, I wanted to share this post about alternatives to the traditional floral bouquet. If you don’t have the budget to put $150-$500 into your own bridal bouquet, try one of these alternative options. I will say as a disclaimer- it is never a good idea to walk down the aisle empty handed so don’t use that as your “alternative bouquet” you don’t want to look like you forgot something!!
