Real Wedding pt 2: Araceli and Andrew

11 Apr

To follow up on yesterdays ceremony and first look by Andrew and Araceli (here) I wanted to share their super fun cocktail hour and reception. For cocktails we brought in a wonderful Mariachi band to seranade guests while they enjoyed the bar and passed aps. Dinner was in the pavillion with large centerpeices of babies breath balls and pops of bright green runners. Guests enjoyed Timmie Metz (who I ALWAYS recomend!)  on guitar all night and dined on Airlies delicious food. Enjoy!

Guests found their seats off of magnetic frames with cards held up dainty magnets.  Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4936copy_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4938_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4940_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4942_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4949_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC4955_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5076_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5081_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5083_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5088_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5097_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5102_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5107_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5118_low Covarrubias_Hirtle_amber_reinink_photographer_DSC5139_low

Real Wedding: Araceli and Andrew

10 Apr

These two were so much fun to work with and they are a shining example of how much I bond with clients during their wedding process. I have made sure to stay true to keeping in touch and I am so excited that they have just bought their first DC area home! Araceli and Andrew came to me shortly after moving to the DC area from California and wanted to host a small intimate wedding for their closest friends and family. They knew nothing of the area and had a limited budget to work with, so I agreed to help them stretch it as far as we could.

After a bunch of venue options we settled on hosting the entire weekend at the Airlie Center from the rehearsal dinner and welcome cocktails to the post wedding brunch. We wanted to infuse Araceli’s Mexican heritage into the wedding so we order special paper picado flags, and had mexican wedding cookies for guests to take home.  We also made sure to have a grooms cake with Andrew’s love of zombies. I want to share their beautiful getting ready and ceremony photos today. We create babies breath bouquets for the ladies and Araceli wore a gorgeous dress from Betsy Robinson Bridal and to die for shoes by Valentino. Enjoy!

Their guest book was so fun! They collected photos of everyone from the wedding and we strung them up. Guest then found their photo and added to a page that had a special layout to which they could write in notes and leave funny quotes.

Real Wedding: Nimita and Greg

25 Mar

Nimita and Greg were such fun to work with and they really showed how upbeat and go with the flow they were when a major insane storm came barreling through their wedding ceremony. With plans in place for an outdoor ceremony at River Farm with a gorgeous rustic mandap overlooking the river, we were making last-minute calls for the weather up until right before the ceremony. We knew bad weather was on the horizon so we moved everyone under the tent to host a gorgeous Hindu-Christian ceremony for our lovely couple.
Christopher, co-owner of Amaryllis helped us to designed a backdrop of rustic elements paired with copper pieces and tones of red, vibrant green, and cream. I loved working with our entire team and I am so thankful everything turned out perfectly by the end of the night!

The couple hand created soap favors for their guests wrapped in burlap and twine. Place cards sat at each seat which were bindings around the napkins personalized each seat. They chose to have a small single cake for themselves and then a large dessert bar of Indian sweets, Macaroons, and cake pops to end the night. I hope your enjoy this wedding as much as I did helping to orchestrate the affair and years of love to our happy couple!

Big thank you to The Happy Couple for these wonderful photos!

I want to share my all time favorite dessert table that we have created. It was inspired by vintage post cards and the soft Parisian colors of mint, blush, and cream. There is something so soft and romantic about those colors and I wanted to pair them with equally delicate desserts such as Macaroons, and petite fours, and chocolate dipped marshmallow puffs. These gorgeous photos were taken by Procopio Photography and the wonderful labels and graphics were designed by Mary Coppola Design . Enjoy!
